Magamba Rainforest

The tour begins with an uphill walk from Lushoto to the royal village of Kwembago, where you learn about the cultural history of the traditional ruling clan, the Kilindi. From Kwembago you have a beautiful view of Lushoto and the Maasai plains. You proceed to the lush Magamba rainforest, home to black and white colobus monkeys. The return to Lushoto passes via an old German middle school (now Sekuco University) and the village of Magamba.

The tour itself takes about 5-6 Hours.

Bangala River Tour

From the Village of Mbuzii you weave slowly down the slopes of the Bangala River valley at times wading through cool mountain streams that offer a welcome relief to the rising savannah heat. Throughout the walk you see traditional irrigation systems and have beautiful views over Maasai plains. Before returning to Lushoto you visit a local farm or tree nursery.

This is a tour of 5- 6 Hours.

Home Stays

Visitors can have overnight stays in the home stays lodges which are located in the rural communities of Kwalei and Kwekanga. The homestays are situated in the backyard of the farmer family who owns and run the place and there are several lodges in each village. The home stays consits of bedroom (double bed), a combined living and bedroom (single bed), bathroom with a shower and western style toilet. One home stay can accomodate 3 pax.

The characteristics of the home stays are cleanliness, security and authenticity.
