The district is enriched with more than 14 standard tourists' accomodation establishments and as the tourist destination is estimated to receive not less than 3000 tourists per annum from the year 2000 while five different Non- governmental organisations and companies are situated at Lushoto specifically dealing with tourism issues and conducting of tourism activities within the district.

Lushoto is endowed with different potentials both naturals and built environment favors the growing of the tourism sector. However, with its geographical and historical potentiality, tourism is determined to be as among of the most contributing sector to the economy of the district if its potentiality is well intergrated and utilized. Lushoto is the biggest town in Usambara with a population of over 400,000, a friendly place in a very beautiful setting among high forested peaks.

We are the governmental officials operating at no cost and it is reccomended for every tourist to pass through the centre for accurate information about Usambaras and Lushoto at whole on his/ her travel and the office will connect him/ her with professional tour guiding organisations, accomodation facilities, tour operators within the district, local- cultural groups, local artists and so much more according to client interests.
It also encouraged to pass through the centre for statistics and data collection for improvement of tourism services offered by different stakeholders within the district.
